January is just flying by. I don't have much to show so far, and by the looks of my calender I won't get much accomplished during the rest of it. I have spent a lot of time at doctors and hospitals. Not for me luckily. Grandma Janet fell on the ice the day after christmas. She landed on her face. So we spent 6-8 hours in the emergency room in logan with her. I was worried about her leg. She said that her left leg hurt just above the knee. This is the leg that has a steel rod and 21 straps holding it together. I was afraid that she had broken it at the bottom of the rod. But luckily that wasn't the case. She just has 4 fractures in her face. Which luckily all stayed in place. She had a severe concussion, which is still bothering her. So that was Saturday. On Monday we went to the dentist because her teeth had really bleed and they needed to be checked. On Wednesday we went to an ENT for the broken bones in her face. they thought that everything looked okay, but they gave her an antibiotic so that she wouldn't get a sinus infection. So this affected her Protime, her blood got really thin. She kept having bloody noses. that were getting harder and harder to get stopped. so we went to her regular doctor on the 5 of January and her blood was way to thin. Then that afternoon she got a nose bleed and that after 45 minutes we couldn't stop so I took her to the Tremonton ER. After 3 hours, of them working on it they transferred her to Logan. The ENT came in and worked on her for 3 more hours. When they finally had it packed enough that it stopped bleeding. They admitted her and 2 days later she came home from the hospital. Then back to the ENT on Saturday when they took the packing out. Meanwhile, Grandpa Dean got sick on us New Years Day, He was diagnoised with pnemonuia on January 2. When I left their last night I think that they are both doing okay. But it all starts over this week when Grandpa Dean has an outpatient heart procedure. But they will keep him over night to watch him. He has a hole in his heart that never closed at birth. He has had two minor strokes since Halloween. So hopefully this will go smoothly.
I have been with Jonah to a doctors appointment and have two more next week. Dave left for the Navy, this month. I have tended Jonah a couple of days and tended Matt and Maddy 5 days this month. So I guess I don't get to slow down yet. Lets hope that February is slower.
Sorry for the journal entry. But everyone wonders why I haven't blog. today is my first day home that I haven't had to be somewhere, and Chris is out to work.
Sounds like the Little Gingerbread Man Syndrome to me ... run, run, as fast as you can. And don't fall down or the sly fox will eat you right up.
